For this run's 6th edition, the list of good environmental actions is long. To avoide the accumulation of waste in the nature, the packaging of each products will be taken off, at the supplying spots, before being given to the runners.
And that's not it, the numbs filling up will replace the bottles, there won't be any distrubution of news papers before the run, the food will be cut in to peaces to avoid wasting, recycling bins will be at the public's disposal at the arrivale. Since this run has joined the ECO CYCLO' program, the Time Megève Mont Blanc is getting prepared to combine this sport event with the respect of the nature. An ECO CYCLO patrol will be in charge of controling the good practice of the environmental respect.
The high mountain pasture Days
Organised in Megève since 1996, the high mountain pasture days, from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th April 2009 : discovery and cultural exchange on the theme "the Alps" : the presentation of animals (bovins, caprins, ovins, équins, dogs), farming competes, local products, high mountain pasture photos and films, authors meeting and two show evenings "Folies Bergères" Friday and Saturday.

The film "Nos enfants nous accuseront" is about the couragious initiative took by Barjac, a municipality of the Gard, of deciding to have an organic school canteen, by financing the extra-cost with the local council budget. Aware of the health dangers that threats the yougn generation exposed to the 76 000 tons of profused pestide each year on our country, a maire decided to give the example with its not comparable policy. To alert the public view and government officials on the scandalous drifts of an economical system that points up profit and interests, instead of dealing with the polution health problem.
